Meet the Team

Dr Shane Summerfield

I graduated in 1989 from the University of Otago, and in my first year I worked at Christchurch Public Hospital. I then went travelling and, like most New Zealanders, ended up working in the UK. This lasted several years, interspersed with time back in New Zealand.

I enjoy living by the beach in Sumner. My aim in dentistry is to provide a friendly, relaxed environment for patients and treatment of the highest standard. I look forward to meeting you in the future.

Dr Adrianne Scott

I enjoy providing gentle, patient-centred dental care, from emergency treatment to comprehensive dental services. I grew up in Christchurch and, after graduating with a BDS from the University of Otago, I worked in Auckland and the UK in private practice.

I later settled back in Christchurch, where I worked in private practice while raising my family. I now enjoy helping people look after their dental health both at the hospital and in the friendly atmosphere here at Redwood Family Dentists.

Dr Bayley Anderson

I enjoy working at the well-established and welcoming Redwood Family Dental practice. With my positive and friendly personality, I aim to build a genuine connection with each of my patients.

I take the time to understand every patient’s needs and provide care tailored to each individual. Although I enjoy the high stakes of a hockey game, you can expect a calm and comfortable environment with me and the team at Redwood Family Dentists.

Dr Jill Henderson

I graduated from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) in 2018 and have been providing dental care ever since. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, particularly providing minimally invasive treatment options and helping anxious patients feel comfortable in the dental chair.

I am originally from Northern Ireland but moved to New Zealand in 2024, first to Hawke’s Bay before settling in Christchurch last year. I have enjoyed exploring all parts of this beautiful country and hope to take many more trips.
